BNIC, Bureau National Interprofessionnel du Cognac, is the French interprofessional body responsible for managing the Controlled Designation of Origin of Cognac.
Its missions, alongside professional representatives and union partners, are to secure, perpetuate and develop the appellation, inform and ensure permanent monitoring, anticipate, promote an image, protect and enhance the consumer experience, for the benefit of all Cognac players.
The “Cognac Educator” labeling program was initiated by the Interprofession du Cognac (BNIC) in 2010. To obtain this label, each candidate must spend 3 days in total immersion in Cognac.
At the end of his stay, to obtain this labeling, the candidate takes a written exam (multiple choice test of 50 questions in 30 minutes) and oral (50 minutes in front of a jury of professional traders and winegrowers).
Once graduated, the “Cognac Educators” are committed to spreading knowledge of cognac around the world.
We are proud to announce that the manager of our agency has been officially certified “Cognac Educator” by the National Interprofessional Bureau of Cognac with the class of 2014.
We can thus guarantee to all the participants of our activities and excursions in the country of cognac quality and relevance of the places visited, of the information brought “from the vine to the glass”, in complete independence.
Being the only “Cognac Educator” to live in the heart of the cognac vineyard, this distinction also allows our manager to regularly meet professional traders and winegrowers ready to share their knowledge and know-how with our customers.
This label is also an encouragement to further strengthen our knowledge of the Cognac vineyard, its distillers and their products, thus making it possible to present this region also called the “Spirit Valley” in a different way.
