Description

A romantic getaway in the Charente region to discover the «Saintonge» and its wonderful landscapes; the perfect place for lovers... To celebrate a birthday, anniversary or simply for pleasure, take a day on the Charente river. You will enjoy the beauty and tranquillity of this cruise as you spend a wonderful moment together. During your free time you can visit the city of Saintes and its listed monuments or visit a cognac distillery in the city of Cognac.

From April 1st till October 30th, 2008 (except Monday)

Day 1:

Arrive at the Logis de l’Astrée from 4pm. In your romantic bedroom you will find a bottle of champagne and flowers. In the heart of countryside you will enjoy romantic walks through the fields. For dinner we have prepared a candlelit table in a charming restaurant typical of the area, with a gastronomic meal. If you arrive late, it is no problem to change the dinner to the second night.

Day 2: Cruise day

After a tasty breakfast you will go to Saintes for a cruise on the Charente river. Stopover for lunch in a mill near the river, where they will provide you with a traditional meal. At 2.45pm you will get picked up by the boat for a wonderful time with English or French commentary. At 4pm : arrive at Saintes, to discover this beautiful city and its history.
